About this directory
Our family’s story
This directory was created by Archie George’s family. When we needed help for our child, we struggled to access support and found ourselves going round in circles, trying to find the right help. That experience inspired us to create The Archie George List, so other families facing hard times can find the support and funding they need to care for their child.
The Archie George List brings together funding and practical support for families with disabled and neurodivergent children. Bradford, Leeds, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield services come first, followed by national and other regional support.
What it includes
307 schemes, services and support routes across 38 needs. These are programme entries, not 307 unique charities. The directory includes cash grants, direct equipment, loans, free or subsidised breaks, supplier payments, statutory support and advice.
Coverage has expanded to disabled adults, unpaid carers and siblings, including rare conditions, employment and emergency-care pathways. New entries supplement the existing family directory.
Sources and checking
Research was checked on 12 October 2026, using official charity, council, NHS and government sources wherever available. Each entry links to its supporting evidence and records verification limitations.
Providers were not telephoned or emailed, and application submissions were not tested. Some sites were inaccessible or had inconsistent information. Those limitations remain visible. The site does not automatically refresh funding status.
Keeping the directory current
Opening dates, budgets and contacts change. Follow the official source before applying. Future edits should update the entry, retain the original information and record the source and date of the change.
To discuss a correction with the directory owner, use Copy entry details in the expanded listing and include the official source supporting your correction. A public correction form is not currently provided.
Using the information
A listing is a possible support route, not a recommendation of a treatment or confirmation that a family qualifies. Funds and statutory services make their own decisions.
